Editing Decision Activity

"people caught in the crossfire between police and the bank robbers"
1) editing speed /slow/fast- slow
2) justification- i would use slow editing because i would like to make the character that is being effected feel confused and slow, and he/her would not no what was going on and his brain would go blank. the man/girl would zoom up to his face and look very confused and dizzy

"An innocent character is stalked by werewolf"
 1) editing speed /slow/fast- fast
2) justification- it would be fast as the character would realise that hi/her is being stalked and she starts running and the speed of the film would be fast

" the character confesses the horrific crime to someone"
  1) editing speed /slow/fast- slow
2) justification- the film would be slow because he is feeling guilty for the crime the he committed and will zoom up on his guilty face

"two teams compete in the fanils of a street dance competition"
 1) editing speed /slow/fast- loud and fast
2) justification- the dance will be lid and fast because the characters will be break dancing and it will show the intensity of the competition

Factory

FACTORY:

How did the film make you feel? (excited, intrigued, happy etc)
this animation 'Factory' makes me feel confused as i didn't really understand the meanings of the animation and it wasen't very clear what the author was trying to show the audience.

In your opinion, what was the most striking element of the film?
The most sticking part of the film was when they had the hand as the claw working in the factory I don't know why but that just really stood out in the film.

List three other things that you found interesting?
1. I like the colours they used how the film is in black and white it just has so much more meaning that way
2. I also like when the man is using the wrench
3. And I like atbthenstart when there all walking into the factory

What meaning did you think the artist was trying to convey?
I am not definite that this is it but some of my ideas would be that the author is trying to show us that...

What is your overall impression of the film’s mood?
The films mood is all dark and gloomy so it either looks like there being pushed to hard or they really don't like there job.

Did sound play an important part in your response to the film?
I wasn't really listening to the sound as I was to concentrated on the film butmifni really listen to it it just sounds like a factory

What comments can you make about the animators technique? (i.e. was it simple, complicated, smooth, jerky etc)
The animation was really simple but that's what's made it so good it just was like that saying 'less is more' and it was not super smooth but not horribly not smooth so it was a mix in the middle

Do you think that this animation would have been well planned?
I think it would have to be well planned as with all the different layers going on in the film it would have to and it turned out really well so I think it was really well planned

SCENE 5

when we filmed this chistie and i didn't really like how this came out in the end but we had to keep it because we where scared we wouldnt have time to finish so if we need to we will come back to this

SCENE 4

YAY MY FAVORITE SCENE i don't know why i love this so much but when i finished filing this and looking at it, it was decently my favourite. while listening the the lyrics "she gave you things i couldn't give to youuuu" this means that lila could have kids but sky didn't, we thought how where we going to express how she could give him things but she couldnt but then christie and i thought of a KID witch worked really well with the lyrics. this scene may not be the best to others but it is to me i worked so hard on this one it may not be perfect but i love it

SCENE 3 (3)

THE KISSING SCENE WHOOOO now this is when josh and lila kiss at the end of the alter this must have to be one of my favourite scenes as you can just feeling the love when looking at this. christie and i tried so hard to get this scene perfect, and in the and it pulled off it took us 2 lessons on this and i really feel like you can you see what their feeling sand the body language just really makes the ending to scene 3 fantastic.
